Contenu
When joining college, Jean-Baptiste Poclin learned that apart from a few letters difference, his name was the same as Molière's. This revelation together with the discovery of the Molière's theatre were to change his view of others, deeply modify his ways and give food for thought to M. Poclin senior, a stiff and inflexible man solely concerned with the turnover of his socks manufacture. ? As over the past few years, I have been working on the Perrault's Fairy Tales and Fables by La Fontaine, it struck me that using J.B. Poquelin - known as Molière - as the core character of this entertainment, and setting to music texts and extracts from plays that are so admirably human and modern, I would fulfil my artistic commitment to young performers and their masters, more clearly so than in my previous works.
